Kevin MacDonald - President
Graduated from Washington High School in West Sacramento, CA. Hired in 1981 as a Bricklayer Apprentice. He became a Bricklayer Journeyman in 1983 and shortly thereafter moved up to a Foreman. Kevin became Field Superintendent in 1990. In 1999 he was elected Vice President of Operations and in 2003 he purchased stock and became Board Member/President.
Bruce M. Mann - Vice President/Estimator
Graduated from La Sierra High School in Carmichael, CA and American River College in Carmichael, CA. Hired in 1964 as Bookkeeper/Accountant. Bruce became Estimator in 1966. In 1973 he purchased stock and became Board Member/Vice President/Head Estimator.
Troy D. Brewer - Office Manager/Estimator
Graduated from Chester Jr. Sr. High School in Chester, CA and Heald Business College in Rancho Cordova, CA. Hired in 2002 as Office Manager/Accountant. Troy became Estimator in 2007. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, Troy worked for Bar Steel Service, Inc. for twelve years as Chief Financial Officer/Accountant.
Anita Flores - Bookkeeper/Accountant
Graduated from James Marshall High School in West Sacramento, CA. Hired in 2008 as Bookkeeper/Accountant. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, Anita worked for Senator Ford processing Accounts Receivables & Payroll and G & R Body and Paint Shop as the Office Manager.
Robert J. Close - Field Superintendent
Graduated from Payson High School in Payson, UT and attended Utah Tech. Hired in 2003 as a Foreman Bricklayer, Robert was promoted to Field Superintendent in 2006. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry Robert worked for Glen Close Construction and George Close Construction as a Foreman Bricklayer.
Chad G. Close - Foreman Bricklayer
Graduated from Laguna High School in Sacramento, CA and attended Sacramento State University. Chad was hired in 2003 as a Journeyman Bricklayer, and started running work as a Foreman Bricklayer in 2006. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, Chad worked for George Close Construction as a Journeyman Bricklayer for five years.
Allen D. Driscoll - Foreman Bricklayer
Graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, UT and Brayton Field Firefighting School at Texas A&M University. Al was hired in 2005 as a Foreman Bricklayer. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, he owned and operated Allen Driscoll Masonry for seven years and worked for George Close Construction as a Foreman Bricklayer for eight years.
Michael P. Griffith - Foreman Bricklayer
Graduated from South Tahoe High School in South Lake Tahoe, CA and attended the University of California, Davis. Hired in 1997 as a Journeyman Bricklayer, Mike became a Foreman within a year. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, Mike worked for General Masonry as a Journeyman Bricklayer for nine years.
Richard A. Jackson - Foreman Bricklayer
Graduated from Zoe Barnum High School in Eureka, CA. Hired in 1991 as a Bricklayer Apprentice. He became a Journeyman Bricklayer in 1995 and advanced to a Foreman in 2001. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, Rich worked for Zender & James Masonry as a Mason Tender.
Jack Myers - Foreman Bricklayer
Graduated from Orange High School in Orange, CA and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Jack was hired in 2005 as a Journeyman Bricklayer and started running work as a Foreman shortly after that. Prior to working for Townsend & Schmidt Masonry, he worked for Elk Grove Masonry for over eight years. Jack worked as a mason in Southern California before moving to Northern California.
Larry D. LaManes - Yard Manager/Mechanic
Graduated from Flat Rock High School in Flat Rock, Michigan. Served in the U.S. Navy as a gunners mate technician. Trained in hydraulics, pneumatics, & electronics as a service and repair technician. Hired in 2001 as a mechanic/truck driver. Larry is the guy who we rely on to keep our equipment in top operating condition.
Alex Morua - Safety Representative
Graduated from Center High School in Antelope, CA. Hired in 2007 as a Brick Layer Apprentice. Shortly after that, his scope of work was expanded to include jobsite safety issues. Alex is safety certified in forklift, scaffold, first aid and CPR.
