Family and Friends,
The 2009 NFL season is fast approaching and the annual football pool is about to begin. It promises to be another
exciting season of guessing the winners. We are always welcoming new players, please encourage any family,
friends or co-workers to join in on the “FUN”.
The web address is
football.townsendschmidt.com. Send me
an email and let me know you want to play and you will be set up with a user name and password for the website.
Also, if you want me to, I will add you to a mailing list where I try to send out reminders and other
important information.
Please submit your picks here at the web page so the database and calculations can update automatically. If for
some reason you can't submit your picks at the web page, you can submit them via fax (916-383-5357) or email
(
tbrewer@townsendschmidt.com). As a last resort, if you can't
submit your picks at the website, by fax, or by email, you can call them in (916-363-8430).
IMPORTANT!!! No matter how you submit your picks, make sure you get all of them submitted by 10:00 pm (California
time) the night before the first game of each week. If your picks are not in on time, you will get a big fat zero
for the week. Absolutely no exceptions, please don't even ask! The schedule is posted well enough in advance for
you to plan ahead.
Here are a few reminders about some of the other rules:
- You try to pick the winner of every game during the season, including playoffs and the Super Bowl.
- Payment for the pool is $25.00 and is due before the first game of the season (09/10/2009).

- During the regular season only, the weekly winner will get $10.00. This money will either be paid at the
end of the season or rolled over to the next years entry fee, depending on the amount. Any total winnings less than $10.00
the year will be automatically rolled over for the following year, unless you tell me otherwise.
- We will pay the top eight players (not places) and last place for the year. If there is a tie, the money will be
pooled together and split evenly between the tied players.
- 1st Place - 27%
- 2nd Place - 20%
- 3rd Place - 16%
- 4th Place - 13%
- 5th Place - 10%
- 6th Place - 8%
- 7th Place - 6%
- 8th Place - $25.00 (this amount is taken out prior to %’s)
- Last Place - $25.00 (this amount is taken out prior to %’s)
- In order to qualify for the last place payment, you must pick every game of every week.
